Discovery Education Streaming offers a variety of videos that correspond to topics covered in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and foreign languages. There are thousands of videos appropriate for all grades in elementary, middle, and high schools. Each video is shown in segments so that it is not necessary to view the whole video at one time. In addition, the Discover site offers lesson plans that incorporate media. Other resources offered are a Quiz Builder, a Writing Prompt Builder, and an interactive atlas.
This website offers an excellent collection of information on just about any subject. It is convenient for teachers because videos can be accessed from anywhere via the Internet. Teachers who have access to projectors or have computers linked to monitors in classrooms now have an indispensable resource that does not require going to libraries or video stores to rent media. The only obstacle is that Discovery Streaming does require a membership. In many schools the school system already has membership, so teachers will have access.

I have been able to use United Streaming for teaching a high school student and also for teaching Pre-k Students. I feel that United Streaming is extremely versatile.
I too have been very pleased with united streaming. the careers and science sections mesh perfectly with my technology and careers curriculum.
